We are interested in the biology and regulation of transposable elements, which make up around 50% of the human genome. Using an integrative approach, combining functional and computational genomics, our team works to uncover their impact in oncogenesis and efficacy of cancer treatments in blood cancers. The Deniz lab is a part of QMUL Epigenetics Hub and LMS Imperial TE Hub.
We are always looking for enthusiastic new members fascinated by transposon and cancer biology. If you are interested in joining us, please have a look at the Join us and Contact sections and get in touch.
